LBBW – the savings banks’ partner

LBBW functions as the central bank for the savings banks in Baden-Württemberg, Rhineland Palatinate and Saxony, providing them with a broad range of products and services. In addition, LBBW and the savings banks form a partnership network aimed at achieving the best possible penetration of the retail and corporate banking markets.

The savings banks of both Baden-Württemberg and Rhineland-Palatinate have signed an agreement to that end –the so-called outline agreement in the service association. The financial group, which includes the savings banks, LBBW, Landesbausparkasse (LBS) (the building society of the financial group) and Sparkassenversicherung (SV, i.e. insurance company) covers the entire range of financial services. The particularly high ratio of business with the savings bank network of between 70 and 100 percent is an indicator of the close relationship between the savings banks, LBBW and other Sparkassen Financial Group companies.
